Locally owned and operated by Judy and Glenn Walker, The Lavender Cottage & Garden is nestled in the heart of the Sautee-Nachoochee Valley just outside of Helen, Georgia. Judy and Glenn were first introduced to Lavender when visiting France years ago and fell in love with the aromatic herb and have grown it around their home ever since.
A trip through the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in 2011, reacquainted the Walkers with the fragrant and versatile herb and they began researching the various uses and products of Lavender. They started selling dried Lavender bouquets, loose Lavender buds and a variety of natural bath and body products made with Lavender essential oil at local festivals. Customers always wanted to know where their store was located but at the time, it was just a passionate hobby! When Judy retired as president from the White County Chamber of Commerce in 2011, she and Glenn decided to expand their love for Lavender into a local boutique that offered not only Lavender products but to give locals and tourists a unique shopping experience.
The Lavender Cottage & Garden offers products ranging from bath & body to culinary. Our extensive line of bath & body items includes mostly organic, paraben and sulfate-free Lavender products. Our home products include linen spray and dryer bags. Our culinary Lavender products feature teas, chocolate, honey, jams, and spreads.
In addition to our product lines, The Lavender Cottage & Garden is also proud to feature products made by local artisans. These products change often as they are usually one of a kind but often include baby gifts, pottery, paintings, jewelry, mosaics, lighting and wood working, just to name a few!
Our dream was to provide a unique gift shop to our area so our local customers could find the perfect gift for any occasion (birthday, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, bridal showers, baby showers, etc.) while providing a relaxing shopping experience for our area’s tourists. We offer free shipping for website orders over $50 and all of our products (and a limited selection of our local artisan products) can be purchased online.
If you haven’t stopped by yet, we look forward to meeting you!
